Disclaimer - Please Read

Sail Mall does NOT verify the bona fides of any person that places a classified advertisement on the www.Sail-Mall.com site.

We take no responsibility whatsoever for any transaction that is initiated as a result of a classified advertisement appearing here. It is up to you (as the buyer or seller), to check the other party's credentials and the authenticity of any item for sale.

Experience has shown that if any of the following conditions are met, it will more than likely be a scam/money laundering operation, so delete the email received and take no further part in the transaction:

  • The only contact you have for the other party is a free email address (e.g. hotmail, yahoo) and/or a mobile phone number
  • The purchaser says they are overseas on holiday (or will give some other reason why they are unavailable) and will get their 'friend' to pay you. (Generally if you are selling the item in one country and you get a request from another, be wary).
  • There is an unusual payment method. (e.g. they will pay you a sum more than the item is worth and get you to refund the difference to them).
  • They want you to pay via Western Union.
  • Any part of the transaction doesn't 'sound right'

We also recommend items be sent COD (and insured) as this will go some way in protecting both parties. For large ticket items, you should use an escrow service for added security.

Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware. If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is!
